Acer Veriton Business Mini Desktop Review by Expert

Acer Veriton Mini Desktop PC

Buy For: Small size │Heavy computing capacity

Beware Of: It has a bit high price│No graphics upgrade can be done

The Acer Veriton N is a decent series of mini PCs that fit in your work environment easily and delivers the necessary power so that you can rely on it consistently. It does, however, come with bit extra cost and as long as you are sure about your needs, it is definitely one to invest in.

Design and Build

This mini PC is truly one of the smallest and lightweight ones that we have ever seen. Check out Best Desktop Computers for Accounting.

With its slim profile, you won’t even notice its presence on your desk and even more so if you mount it on a wall.

There are add-ons that you may buy that give additional storage, more ports or an optical disk drive.

The build quality is decent and there are vents to allow airflow so that it doesn’t get too hot while using.

The processor present in this version is an 8th gen Intel Core i7-8700T which has 6 cores and a base speed of 2.40 GHz.

The CPU can be further boosted to 4.0 GHz when you require some more performance out of it.

The Intel HD graphics 630 works perfectly at handling day-to-day computing and base level editing, but struggles at high-end graphics-related tasks.

Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed in it and thus you need not worry about installing an OS separately, but updates are always welcome.

Storage and RAM

The device comes with dual storage options. While there is a 256 GB SSD drive, there is also a 1 TB hard drive installed in it.

The RAM that you get on it is of 16 GB, but it can be expanded to a maximum of 32 GB.

As you may have realized by now, the PC is “mini” only in its size, not in its specs.

There aren’t any matters to be concerned about the storage either. Check out best desktop brands.

Ports and Connectivity

There are a number of ports distributed at the front and back.

These include 3 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, a USB Type-C port, and 2 USB 2.0 ports.

For audio-visual connections, one gets each of a DisplayPort, an HDMI port and a VGA port.

Regarding the internet, you have an Ethernet port and 802.11 ac Wifi. Bluetooth 5.0 is also available.
