The system, they said, allowed running quite a lot of different types of intensive programs on it which includes and is not limited to AutoCAD, Blender, and MATLAB.

It also powers through quite efficiently while playing intensive games like Insurgency Sandstorm on it. However, they thought the exclusion of a webcam is a notable downside of this system.

It is a beautiful laptop to work or play games on, said a few other users. It runs well and fast and offers a much better all-round performance in comparison to other gaming laptops available in the market that come with similar specs and a price tag.

The most appealing aspect of this laptop, according to them, is the Aura lighting. It is fun. However, the average battery life of the system is a point of concern which, they feel, ASUS should have looked seriously into.

This is a perfect laptop for gaming, felt by a few other users, who however were not happy with the overly bright and shiny screen.

They said that even their tablets and cell phones have a much better screen than that of this laptop. Check out ROG Strix G15 Manual.

The upgradability options however appealed to them along with other specs that are just perfect and efficient to support intensive gameplay.

A few other consumers were very specific about this laptop. They said that it is very fast to support running modern games and complex software.

Our Testing & Analysis Report

We played a few intensive gaming titles on the Asus ROG Strix G15 gaming laptop to test it and found that it can handle most of the games pretty well. While testing, we found that the display was pretty impressive, though not the brightest of all.

Based on the thermal and color testing results, we found that the display of this laptop is pretty accurate, with color reproduction reaching almost 100% of the sRGB color gamut, according to the Delta E color accuracy tool.

The display is quite nice and can hit decent frames per second for most of the gaming titles that we played on it, though at times it seems to get a bit brighter. The Aura lighting made gaming more fun, though.

Apart from playing games, we also put this piece to the test by performing some CPU- and GPU-intensive computing tasks. It fared well in that field as well.

Laptop technicians working with us tested this device as well, and they suggested that the device is pretty good and offers a fair bit of options to upgrade the unit even more to run more advanced software programs and apps.

When they tested its battery, they found that the cell did not quite make it to an ‘exceptionally good’ mark, but is quite good compared to the Samsung and ASUS Chromebooks. It will surely last till the user finishes the day’s work.

However, our computer technicians concluded that it is a pretty good laptop that does not throttle and can handle casual and advanced computing tasks along with games quite easily and efficiently.
