5 Best iBUYPOWER Gaming Desktops 2020:

1. iBUYPOWER Gaming PC Element 9260

iBUYPOWER Gaming PC 9260

Check Price at Amazon

At first, we would like to present the Element 9260. This is a very attractive PC that you can use for mid-range gaming and will also serve you for professional purposes that you can use to take part in competitions.

There are very few PCs in this budget range that allow you comfortable VR and 1080p gaming. It cannot be ignored that the case is not very attractive and there are better-looking cases out there. But the specs list is sure to catch your eye.

It has a 9th gen Intel i7 processor and 16 GB RAM, enough to take on the most popular games that you might want to play today. There is another Trace 2 and an i9 variant that you can also look out for.

At this price tag, you get a 1 TB hard drive and 240 GB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti 6 GB graphics coprocessor that may not be excellent, but is ideal for most gamers.

It comes with simple RGB fans and since you get easy access to components inside it is sure to take a top spot in your list of gaming PCs. Check out iBUYPOWER Gaming PC 9260 Review.

Key Features:

  • Storage: 1 TB HDD and 240 GB SSD
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700F
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti
  • OS: Windows 10 Home

Pros

  • Good performance.
  • Supports VR Gaming.
  • Tool less access to the parts inside.

Cons

  • Small SSD drive.
  • Case is not very attractive.
  • Does not support 4K gaming.

2. iBUYPOWER Pro Trace 9240V2 Gaming PC

iBUYPOWER Pro Trace 9240V2

Check Price at Amazon

Here we have one of the top variants of the Trace 9240 V2. As you will see it has an i9-9900K CPU, which is one of the best octa-core processors available from Intel that can be utilized for top-notch productivity and gaming, but is slightly costly.

The component list is such that it might put any of its pre-built competitors to shame. It is thus surely a fine device assembled with all the right parts to allow it to smoothly handle even the intense graphics work, all thanks to the RTX 2070 super 8 GB video card.

A 1 TB HDD usually suffices, but an SSD drive larger than 240 GB was expected in such hefty pricing. The highlighting feature it has is the liquid cooling system but it is also useless if you don’t need that level of performance or cooling.

Therefore it is suggested only for those who know exactly what they are looking for, and that in this instance is the sheer level of performance and equally splendid parts. Check out iBUYPOWER Pro Trace 9240V2 Gaming PC Review.

Key Features:

  • Storage: 1 TB HDD and 240 GB SSD
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-9900K
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super
  • OS: Windows 10 Home

Pros

  • Brilliant overall performance.
  • Supports multiple 4K monitors.
  • Can be over clocked to bring out more performance.

Cons

  • Quite Expensive.
  • A build-up would be preferred in this price tag.
  • No Thunderbolt port is available.

3. iBUYPOWER Enthusiast Gaming PC

iBUYPOWER Enthusiast Gaming PC Computer

Check Price at Amazon

The Enthusiast as suggested by its name is more of an entry-level gaming desktop. It is one of those that you should buy if you want something that is cheap and has slightly better power than any other usual prebuilt PC.

The GT 710 is one of those basic video cards that have limited functionality but should be able to run a few games. It has a Ryzen 3 processor, which is not that convincing either.

It is also true that building a PC in this price tag would be more beneficial. But for someone who is not very accustomed to the technicalities of a computer or needs something to get through his day without a high range of performance, the Enthusiast is just right.

The reason we have kept it in this list is that it gives you something to start with, and you can make upgrades later on as you deem fit.

Also, there are a few variants that should make it suitable enough to be considered even though it has the restricted performance. Check out iBUYPOWER Enthusiast Gaming PC Review.

Key Features:

  • Storage: 1 TB HDD
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710
  • OS: Windows 10 Home

Pros

  • Satisfying base level configuration.
  • Can be upgraded and thus has some usefulness in long term usage.
  • Better Graphical power than inbuilt graphics chip of most PCs.

Cons

  • Better options can be availed
  • No SSD is available on this PC by default
  • Not worth the price one has to pay

 4. iBUYPOWER Pro Element MR9280 Gaming PC

iBUYPOWER Pro Element MR9280

Check Price at Amazon

This PC you see here can be called the sibling of the Element 9260 we have mentioned above. The Element 9280, however, is not much different than it.

It does get a performance boost due to the 9th gen Intel i9 processor, but overall all other components are mostly similar. For example, it has the same storage arrangement (1 TB HDD and 240 GB SSD along with 16 GB of RAM).

The graphics card is also the same, an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti. This makes one wonder why you should be paying more for simply a CPU upgrade.

But the general upgradability and storage expansion arrangements should be beneficial and you can choose either of the variants based on your needs.

But rest assured that both are brilliant performers in their levels. Also, you have the option to buy a capture card that allows you to connect your gaming consoles and such with your PC using HDMI connections, that should be quite helpful for you. Check out iBUYPOWER Pro Element MR9280 Gaming PC Review.

Key Features:

  • Storage: 1 TB HDD and 240 GB SSD
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-9900
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
  • OS: Windows 10 Home

Pros

  • No bloatware installed
  • Ample Performance
  • Enough scope for expansion

Cons

  • Cannot be overclocked
  • Less SSD capacity
  • Does not support 4K

5. iBUYPOWER Pro Slate 2 Pro Gaming PC

iBUYPOWER Pro Slate2Pro

Check Price at Amazon

To conclude this list we have kept the Slate 2 Pro at the end. This variant is an expensive one, but surely not something out of reach.

We have a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU operating at a speed of 3.6 GHz, partnered with an RTX 2060 Super video coprocessor that allows you to run 4K displays as well.

It also has 16 GB of RAM and a 240 GB SSD, but a 2 TB hard disk that should give you a lot more space to save all your data.

Although with a higher price tag, it is one of the most balanced devices of this article and we doubt if you would be able to build a PC with the same parts like this one at a significantly lower price.

This makes it worth buying. An excellent array of connectivity and no pre-installed bloatware further enhances its usefulness. Check out iBUYPOWER Pro Slate 2 Pro Gaming PC Review.

Key Features:

  • Storage: 2 TB HDD and 240 GB SSD
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super
  • OS: Windows 10 Home

Pros

  • Excellent Performance
  • Large Hard Drive
  • No Bloatware installed

Cons

  • System crashes occasionally
  • Customer support is not good enough
  • An SSD with a higher capacity was needed

Buyer’s Guide for Best iBUYPOWER Gaming PC

When you think of buying a new Gaming Desktop, there are a few questions that might come to your mind. Before going into the technicalities, there are a few other matters that we must discuss.

Firstly, one needs to fixate on the price range since for pre-built PCs you get the configuration decided by a brand, depending on what you can afford. This is true that the ones from iBUYPOWER are affordable for most, but yet your budget will play a huge role.

Then, you need to get your priorities straight. What we mean here is that you must decide whether you need the PC only for gaming, or would it be used for other purposes as well like editing or other software.

Each of these has different requirements, and while a mid-range gaming PC can handle most of it, you must know if there are specific targets that you aim at.

This will help you to buy the right device for your money and thus make sure it lasts a few years before you need to change your system. Check out best gaming PC configurations.

Then you need to have good accessories to accompany your PC. This includes the keyboard, monitor, and mouse mainly. A good mechanical keyboard with comfortable keys is a must, and so is a gaming mouse with faster responses and programmable buttons.

The use of the buttons is that you can preset a few actions like crouching, changing weapons, etc which will come handy at the time of combat.

For a monitor, let’s see what the basic requirements are:

  • The display size of the monitor must be at least 27 inches. Now different people have different views regarding this, but the 27″ is accepted by all. The difference arises because some consider it helpful to have a large screen that makes the gaming experience more enjoyable, but others consider it right to play more action-packed games on a smaller screen as it reduces the area of focus. Now, there are monitors as large as 50 inches and above, but they are also very costly and take up a lot of space. So, anything around 30 inches would be just fine.

  • You need to know what sort of display would be more suited for you. This also depends on your GPU since not all of them are strong enough to handle 4K resolutions. A large screen would of no use if the display quality isn’t a decent one. An FHD display is the bare necessity for 1080p gaming, and you can opt for a 4K display if you have the budget and enough graphical processing strength on your PC. The better you can afford the pleasurable it is, but again an average QHD display costs way more.

  • One of the main attributes of a good monitor is the lower input lag. This refers to the time elapsed between the command you give and it being displayed on the screen. It goes beyond saying that modern competitive games require fast responses and this is not possible until your system can execute your commands and the result is displayed on the screen as fast as possible.

  • Along with lower input lag, you also need to have a monitor that supports higher frame rates. A higher frame rate means that your display can show a greater number of screens in a single second, and this is highly beneficial for fast-paced games like Need for Speed, PUBG, Fortnite etc. The higher the frame rate, the better it is. But make sure the frame rate of the games concerned does not exceed the refresh rate of the monitor or else you will have problems and there would be lags while you are gaming.

  • Also, you must decide whether you want a single or multi-monitor setup. Playing on two screens or a single wide-angle screen is one’s personal taste, and so we leave it up to you to decide which you should go with.

Let us now see what other factors are to be taken care of regarding a gaming PC.

CPU

It goes beyond saying that a good CPU usually makes all the difference in your PC’s performance, as long as you have a decent graphics card installed.

Both AMD and Intel have been making CPUs that deliver high-performance gaming, but the later is pricey which is why most gamers these days prefer the latest 2nd and 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs (Ryzen 5 and above) over the 8th, 9th and 10th Gen ones from Intel (Core i5 and above).

The PCs from IBUYPOWER have options for both for your convenience.

RAM

Next, we have RAM. Now this is something that your system needs in order to function, and the higher the RAM you have, your PC will work better but there are limitations regarding this. A lot of RAM without a good processor is useless.

For gaming, the least you should go for is 8 GB, although on choosing such you will have to upgrade it very soon. Most modern games require 8 GB of free RAM and so 16 GB is recommended for you.

Also, always choose faster RAM modules and dual-channel memory arrangement as it ensures better reliability and slightly improved performance.

GPU

The Graphical Processing Unit or the GPU is one of the most important parts of a gaming PC since it controls the quality of graphics and thus, has an impact on your gameplay as well.

If you are a streamer, you absolutely need an expensive graphics card and for a casual or average gamer, there are a number of options in the GTX series of NVIDIA like the 1660 super, 1080, etc that support comfortable 1080p gaming.

Read More About:  iBUYPOWER Gaming PC Desktop 9200 Review: Price, Pros & Cons

AMD is also in this business and has made many low-end and top-end GPUs recently, while NVIDIA dominates the mid-range market.

The ones like RTX 2060 super, 2070 Ti, etc are of the upper tier and offer immense power and we suggest them only for those of you who are professional gamers or are streamers.

Storage

Good storage is also of relevance and so we suggest you keep both SSD and HDD storage options. SSDs are much useful in the way that they let you faster file transfers and the time to boot up your PC is definitely low when an SSD is present.

Using only one of them could cause inconvenience later on as hard disks are slow, and SSDs don’t last very long. A higher capacity HDD with about 500 GB of SSD space would be just right.

Cooling

For your PC to work at the best possible capacity and to ensure that the internal parts are not harmed, you need to make sure that it has adequate cooling.

Usually, prebuilt gaming PCs come with air coolers as this sort of cooling is sufficient for gaming purposes. Liquid cooling would be a bit too much and it is also complex to set up, expensive, and requires maintenance from time to time.

But this doesn’t mean it is without its advantages. If you need a high-performance PC and its parts tend to heat up more than the usual levels, then it would be wise to have liquid cooling.

Connectivity

The next matter that you have to worry about is the presence of good connectivity on your PC. Here we are talking about both ports and internet connections.

For the ports, you should check whether the PC you are buying has got both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, and after the necessary connections, you still have a few left free.

There also must be ports for headphones, mic, enough display ports for connecting more than one monitor. Try to go for Thunderbolt or Type-C ports as well since those are increasingly becoming important means of faster file transfers these days.

The PC must also have modern SATA and PCI-e ports for connecting storage and GPUs. The latest version of the PCI-e ports (v4.0) are much faster than version 3s, and are coming in the new PCs.

For other connectivity, make sure you have the latest WIFI and Bluetooth features.

PSU

A high performing PC requires a good power supply unit as well to be fed with enough power so that it can utilize all of its components.

Make sure that the PC you are choosing has a good PSU, but you might have to replace it yet with a better one as you make upgrades.

At least a 650W PSU is recommended, but don’t spend too much and invest in those like the 1000W+ ones if you have no use of the excess wattage at all.

Case

Any PC is made complete with its case. It not only gives a house to store all the components but also gives an attractive attitude to them collectively.

But we suggest that you don’t go all-in for just looks, but also make sure that it has got ample space inside (but isn’t too large), enough bays for expansion and good airflow.

Is the iBUYPOWER a good gaming computer brand?

iBUYPOWER is one such brand that intends to provide the best products in the available budget and has been a well-known name for a long time. It may not be renowned as the other giants in this industry but the products it produces are reliable, however, it would be wise to not invest in the more expensive ones as other brands are better in that segment. Also, the after-sales customer assistance is not that attractive and this has to be taken into consideration as well. Overall, it is a decent brand, but not without its flaws.

Is iBUYPOWER and cyberpower the same company?

Though they sound somewhat similar and related, the iBUYPOWER and CYBERPOWER are two different companies.
