CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme SLC8260A3 Review
Buy for: High performing configuration│ Simple design
Beware of: Can be expensive │ Misses a few latest features
Best uses for: Multiple gaming | Image Editing | Rendering and other purposes.
The CyberPower PC Gamer Supreme is an excellent pre-built today, in terms of performance. There are a lot of good things about it, but we are sure that it won’t let you down if you are expecting to run the heaviest applications on your PC. There is however no USB Type-C port or the latest Bluetooth or WIFI connectivity that other desktops might offer at the same price, which is the major flaw we found in this desktop.
Design and Build
While the more popular names like the Aurora or ROG Strix desktops have used unusual chassis design in their desktops, CyberPower has decided to stick with the basics with this gaming PC, and hence this looks as regular as most gaming desktops.
But this is nowhere near dull, and things like RGB and a side glass panel keep things interesting. Check out most reliable desktop computer brands.
This glass panel shows off what the internal components are, while also granting you easy access to them, and you wouldn’t require any tools to reach them either.
These are all standard ones, so finding an upgrade or replacement for any of the major components shouldn’t be an issue.
The chassis itself is quite large, too large if you ask some, but this means that there is plenty of space for future expansions and upgrades.
This removes the problem of space and is the right size for a gaming desktop if you ask me, but surely removes it from the list of super-compact gaming PCs.
But there are other good aspects of a bigger chassis, like airflow, which is plenty on this desktop. Moreover, you’d be able to add more fans on this too if ever cooling seems to be insufficient.
As for the build, it isn’t outstanding but not too bad, given the price tag of these desktops. The cable management inside is also clean.
If you take a look at the spec sheet of the desktop, this CyberPower gaming PC is one with all the top-end specs, be it the processor, GPU, or RAM.
The specs it has are meant to deliver the kind of performance that satisfies the user, no two ways about it.
For example, the Ryzen 7 3800X processor itself is one of the best CPUs currently, and not just for one or two tasks.
The 8 cores, high clock rate, and such can be utilized in a lot of things, both single and multi-threaded ones, be it games or rendering.
Then there is the Radeon 5700 XT video card, which does lag behind NVIDIA’s RTX ones in terms of ray-tracing, though its 8 GB VRAM can be instrumental in handling the heaviest tasks involving graphics.
With this is 16 GB of RAM, and that too easily upgradable that lets you configure your desktop to an even better configuration, and make it future-proof.
The reason behind this is the many cores that the CPU has and the high frequency in them.
While we cannot be sure which brand, you’d be getting a B550 motherboard in this, and this means that you’re most likely to get PCIe 4.0, which means better bandwidth on certain hardware.
There is ample cooling present in the desktop due to the spacious interior which allows a lot of airflow, and the liquid cooling unit on the processor. Hence, there is no scope for thermal throttling.
Windows 10 Home has been installed on the desktop, and this is a clean version of it, free from bloatware and such.
Storage and RAM
There are both free SATA and a PCIe slot if you need to increase the storage capacity.
The RAM as mentioned above is 16 GB, but only two of the 4 available slots are filled. This means that if needed, you can easily expand the memory to up to 128 GB.
Ports and Connectivity
This desktop from CyberPower has got all the necessary ports that you would need for daily usage, but there are some things that it lacks as well, for example, not even a single USB Type-C port can be found.
What can be found are 6 ÚSB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and USB 2.0 ports. Of the USB 3 ports, two are available on the front, alongside a microphone and a headphone port.
There is also inbuilt WIFI and Bluetooth, albeit not the latest kind.
The CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme comes with a keyboard and a mouse, which may not be as good as dedicated gaming peripherals, but are good enough for basic usage.
It supports VR, and the brand claims that it has been optimized for usage with virtual-reality peripherals like the HTC VIVE and the Oculus Rift.
The desktop supports 7.1 audio output, so it is good in this department as well.
There is RGB lighting on the cooling fans that can be controlled from the BIOS. It doesn’t have any pre-installed software to control the lights though.
It has a 1-year warranty and free lifetime tech-support too.

Not just because of the alluring configuration, but also because of the underlying performance and the good pricing on this, which made sure they had to look no further.

It made sure that there was no shortage of space to work with the internal components, and the users could swap anything with a bigger replacement easily.
Moreover, with all the standard components being used, there were no issues faced during these replacements and upgrades.
As for the performance, the users were very satisfied as the desktop with the specs it has could handle almost everything they ran comfortably, and it must be mentioned that these were mostly the heavy kind.

Other Expert Views
The experts at TechBurns have said that the CyberPower PC Gamer Supreme SLC8260A3 is an excellent desktop if one considers the specs it brings in the given price tag. The case design and build are good too, and everything from its performance to pricing is very competitive. But it is incomplete in the sense that there are no USB Type-C or Thunderbolt ports in it.
Those at DigitWeek like the desktop for the fact that CyberPower has put heavy-lifting components in a big enough chassis which also allows future upgrades. They think, with the given configuration, it can compete with even more expensive systems easily. So, it can be bought by gamers and productivity craver’s alike, and that too at a justified price.
