Buy For: The competitive price tag and reliable features of the AIO.

Beware Of: The upgradability is restricted and you might face problems in the future regarding this.

Verdict

For someone who is only interested in doing usual tasks like web browsing, video watching, and light editing, accessing emails and such, the Dell Inspiron 3477 AIO is ideal. You may also play low graphics demanding games like Minecraft, etc but anything above that level will cause lags and in turn discomfort. A better graphics coprocessor and some more upgradability would have made the product something almost close to perfect.

Design and Build

The form factor of the device is a tabletop AIO. Check out Best Budget Dell Inspiron PC.

Simply put, it doesn’t have a separate CPU unit and all the components responsible for processing are present in the Screen unit. This is a highly space-saving design.

The build quality of the device is decent, and the 23.8” FHD IPS LED display sits on a stand, which will allow you to slightly alter the viewing angle.

Performance

The 7th gen Intel i7-7500U processor is common in both high and mid-range laptops because of its renowned performance.

The base clock rate is 2.7 GHz, but with Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 it can be boosted up to 3.5 GHz when you need to squeeze some more performance out of it.

It will swiftly take on mid-level tasks but will struggle with high-end ones. You would not feel any difference in web browsing or video playing, but on doing some video encoding you will realize that the processor does its magic.

The GPU is a standard Intel UHD 620, which should play videos and movies quite well and even light games. But doing higher tasks is not possible through this graphics coprocessor.

You get Windows 10 pre-installed in it so the operating system is not an issue.

Storage and RAM

The storage space on the computer is of 1 TB should be enough to store all the files you want, be it videos, movies, music, photos, and other applications.

An SSD would have provided more speed, but unfortunately, it is not present.

One gets 12 GB of DDR4 RAM which if and when required, can upgrade it to 16 GB.

The graphics memory is integrated, which will make the GPU borrow memory from the RAM since it does not have any of its own. Check out Best Dell Desktop Computers.

Ports and Connectivity

There is a 3-in-1 card reader present on the side of the display.

At the back you get a USB 2.0 port, 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and an HDMI out port. A universal audio jack is also present.

Additional Features

A wireless mouse and keyboard combo are available along with the product. Check out best desktops according to requirements.

The inbuilt speakers have the Waves MaxxAudio Pro support which provides a good sound quality.

Video features like Cinemasound, Cinemacolor, and Cinemastreaming will give you a very good feeling when you watch something on the display.
