Our Testing & Analysis Report

We used HP Chromebox G2, for our daily basic computing tasks. By using this device we worked on some simple web-based tasks, and we got a smooth and seamless browsing experience from this mini PC.

We worked on Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and this PC smoothly handled them.

However, it is good to remember that this device is not capable of handling more than 4 Chrome tabs smoothly at the same time.

We have faced many challenges due to the limited hardware specifications of the device; particularly when processing large PDFs and Excel sheets.

So multitasking on this device is not as smooth as on the other PCs of this range mainly because of the 4 GB RAM capacity. However, this device might be a good choice for a beginner.

For watching videos, we used the built-in Chrome browser and pre-installed applications like Netflix and YouTube. Chromebox G2 streams videos smoothly in 720p resolution without any problems.

However, you can’t stream 4K content on this mini PC. Considering the configuration and price of this device we can say it is a decent device.

But if you can afford, then please go with such a mini PC that has at least 8 GB of RAM or more.
