Check out HP ZBook Studio x360 G5 laptop review and see best price. Several tests and researchers found that the device is very reliable in its performance unless you use things like Adobe After Effects, CAD tools, Autodesk Maya and others on it.

The device can be otherwise used reliably for loading old and saved projects to Adobe Premiere Pro, loading old website design frameworks, or loading and indexing 38 GB of video files.

Typically, rendering of video files is considered to be a lengthy process, but when you use this device you will find it much easier and smoother with its larger frame rates of about 42 frames per second.

This makes the system highly reliable for all types of day to day computing tasks and good enough to play casual games occasionally.

However, the fact that it produces only 400 nits, the 4K display brightness may feel expressively higher. Moreover, the ambient sensor of the touch screen is not very consistent and will not support visual data processing, graphic illustrations and heavy data rendering.

It is this aspect that affects its reliability a bit which is why it is better to take manual control of the brightness settings. Otherwise, the ridiculously reflective screen may be annoyingly jarring, especially if you are working under lights.

The touch precision is good but could have been better but you can easily make do with.

The HP ZBook Studio x360 G5 laptop is a premium convertible two-in-one mobile workstation that is designed and built to meet the diverse needs of the users. It is strong and appealing and the performance justifies the high price.

Design and Build

The unique design of the system makes it most appealing and a notch higher than any other average laptop. The design and build do not only make the device very portable but also very durable.

The 15.6-inch, full HD LED screen comes with the UWVA technology and is designed to support the HD Webcam.

The screen design is slim and the touchscreen ambient light sensor included in it makes this display more unique. The images displayed on this 4K touchscreen display are crisp with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Another significant appendage to the laptop design is the integrated 720p DualAryMic HD Webcam. This allows you to take some of the best pictures.

The sheen finish of the keyboard also adds a new meaning to the minimalist design of the machine. Check out best laptop brands.

The edges of the system have chamfered design. This prevents it from biting the palms. The hinge end has clipped corners that makes it more comfortable to hold the device.

However, the convertible has hinges but these are not very rigid. It will result in screen wobble that may be annoying when you type fast. The tad too flexible hinges will displace it off from its mean position with the slightest of movement.

It is built on a PC hardware platform and weighs just 4.99 pounds. This is because it is built using solid metal only. The liberal use of the metal adds to its overall weight. You will feel it when you work on it on the move or simply carry it in your backpack.

The lid of this laptop has some amount of flex but it surprisingly reflects the solid build of the device, at least the rest of it. The lid will not scratch easily. There is a crevice on the ledge of the display that helps you to open the lid of the laptop very easily.

However, the matte grey finish may be a bit cold to look but the sturdy build of the system makes it a popular choice among the fans of performance and minimalist designs.

All hardware components included in this magnificent system promise a better performance. This convertible workstation comes with top-level processors and graphics that help in faster and better processing, even when you are on the move.

It has a strong and powerful 8th generation Intel Core i7-8750H processor. It can operate at a speed of 2.2 GHz.

However, this speed can be nearly doubled up to 4.1 GHz using the Turbo Boost technology. The six cores along with the 9 MB cache adds to the level of performance of this machine.

The performance of the system in computing different tasks is even further enhanced by the Windows 10 Professional operating system.

This is pretty fast and comes with useful features that will help you to accomplish what you want from this laptop more easily and effectively.

All these features and functionality along with the surprisingly long battery life and display of the system that produces images at 400 nits of peak brightness makes its suitable for content creators for designing apps, professional video editing, and game development.

RAM & Storage

The machine comes with a 16 GB DDR4 memory operating at a speed of 4.1 GHz. The best part of this system is that it has a SODIMM type of memory and a flash memory of 256 GB, both of which adds to its performance.

The 256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC solid state hard drive interface is also something that makes this system a worthy one to invest your money on.

Ports & Connectivity

It comes with a lot of ports that includes one USB 3.0, one HDMI 2.0 apart from a headphone and microphone combo socket.

In addition to the power connector, there are also two USB 3.1 Type-C Thunderbolt 3 or DisplayPort 1.3 ports. You can even use an SDXC or SDHC card reader in the dedicated 1 UHS-II SD card reader sockets.

As for the connectivity, you will get both WLAN and WWAN.

The Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9560 802.11ac (2×2) Wi-Fi plus the Bluetooth 5.0 Combo will provide a more stable WLAN. However, the vPro in Bluetooth will be disabled.

As for WWAN, you will get a HP lt4132 LTE/HSPA and an advanced 4G mobile broadband module in Intel XMM 7360 LTE. You will also get an optional NFC or Near Field Communication module.

Battery Life

You can do all days’ work on this laptop computer with a single charge. The 6 cell 95.6 watt-hour battery will have enough life to provide the system with the desired power for 16 long hours.

Once it runs low on power, you can recharge it using the 150-watt Smart Slim AC adapter that comes with the package.

Additional Features

Apart from the basics, the HP ZBook Studio x360 G5 laptop also comes with some additional features that will grab your attention.

The ZBook Pen or stylus is a unique piece that will make using the system more exciting.

The fingerprint reader feature adds another level of security.

The most attractive feature of the machine is its keyboard. Deigned with click pad backlit collaboration, you will find it easy to type on it even in poorly-lit areas.
