Our Testing & Analysis Report

The processor of the Lenovo ThinkPad P73, on UserBenchmark tests could manage an average score of 11152, with its single-thread performance score being 1040 and a rating of 2474.

We also found that its multi-core performance score is 4838, which is quite promising.

However, when we tested on different games, the benchmark average of the processor was 77%, which is more than any average workstation laptops but nothing exceptional.

We also tested the GPU of the system on Video Card Benchmarks. We found that the G3D and G2D mark of the graphics chip is 3630 and 567, respectively.

This, we concluded, is no way powerful enough to support playing any or every kind of game on the laptop. During our testing process, it supported basic to moderate levels of gaming, editing, and graphical content processing.

Then we analyzed the display of the laptop using the professional CalMAN software and the X-Rite i1 Pro 2 spectrophotometer.

We found that the factory calibration of our review product was not up to the mark, showing visible grayscale and significant color deviations with reference to the AdobeRGB. However, its contrast ratio is quite good.

We tried typing a few documents on Word, used Spreadsheet, and checked and wrote a few emails. During the process we found that the keyboard was smooth and allowed typing easily and quickly.

The keys are significantly large with adequate tactility and travel. The touchpad is also quite good, smooth and responsive to touch.

When we tested the large 99 Watt-hour battery after charging it fully and unplugging it while running a few apps, videos, and played some basic games on it, we found that it had quite a decent life, lasting for about 4 to 5 hours, depending on the display settings.
