We conducted various computing tasks using different word processing and database software and found that the system capably handled most basic-to-moderate tasks. During our exploration of photo-editing programs, we observed that the system performed adequately for basic editing but struggled with high-end photo and video editing tasks. For everyday tasks like web browsing, email checking, and Word or Excel usage, the system proved reliable.

Benchmarking the processor using CPUBenchmark revealed a single-core performance score of 108 points and an average CPU bench score of 64%, indicating suitability for casual computing tasks. However, the multi-core performance fell short with a score of just 328 points and an average bench score of 22%, which is subpar by current standards. In gaming, the CPU scored 66.2%, indicating better-than-average performance. While it handled basic games well at low settings, it struggled with high-end games. Graphics performance testing revealed a frame rate of lower than 10 fps and an average score of 5.49%, both below modern standards.

When deployed in small retail shops for inventory control and invoice making, the system received positive feedback for its ability to deliver quick and accurate results, demonstrating its suitability for such tasks.

Overall, Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 is a reliable desktop computer with a range of features suitable for professional and multimedia tasks. While it may have some limitations in terms of storage capacity and graphics performance, it offers good value for money and reliable performance for everyday use. Consider this desktop for office environments and tasks that do not require heavy graphics processing.
