Read Samsung Notebook 9 Pro review and see the best price. The Notebook 9 Pro must have been built by Samsung after considering the needs of the future, which is why it is still relevant today, even after almost 3 years after its launch.
Convertible laptops are increasingly becoming popular since they offer more than a tablet does while providing most of the features that one would find on a laptop. These, therefore, bridge the gap between the two other devices, and the Notebook 9 Pro is such a device.
Now it does miss some of the features that a modern-day convertible might be able to provide you, but it is competent. The Core i7 processor and 16 GB of memory give you enough power and speed for increased productivity and gaming.
On top of it, you get a touch screen display too, which makes it worth buying. The price isn’t something you would frown upon, but there are other options available now than there were before.
Among all those, whether the Notebook 9 Pro suits you the most is something we leave up to you. But make your decision only after reading this review until the end.

Samsung Notebook 9 Pro Review
Buy For: Good features│Affordable Price tag
Beware Of: Older Processor│Smaller Storage Drive
As far as convertibles are concerned, the Notebook 9 Pro is a decent one available today. It allows the user to explore his/her creativity by its performance, but does put limitations on storage and doesn’t have a 4K display option.
Design and Build
The Notebook 9 Pro has a metallic finish and a lightweight design. Check out best laptop brands.
It is just 0.67 inches thick and weighs just about 3.79 lbs (1.7 kgs) which makes it a good 15” inch laptop if you consider some of the other options.
The hinge allows you to rotate the display by a full 360 degrees, which means you can fold the keyboard backward entirely and use it as a tablet.
The weight won’t make it easy to hold it in the tablet form for a long time though.
Also, you can use the keyboard as a stand so that the screen faces you or someone else, thus providing more flexibility while making a presentation or watching movies.
You can therefore utilize the benefits it offers as a convertible fully. The stylus is inbuilt, and fits inside the case of the laptop, making it easy to carry it as well.
The Full HD display has got medium bezels, but those won’t be a concern no matter how you place the laptop.
The silver alloy body is averagely durable, but you cannot expect military-grade strength from devices like these anyway.
The hinge keeps the display stable, and no matter how you place it there won’t be any wobbling.
The vents are at the back and the fans do a good job of keeping the internals cool, without making any noise.
So even under workload although the exterior might feel heated up, there won’t be any thermal throttling.
The laptop features an 8th gen Core i7 CPU, which isn’t obsolete yet but is on the elder side.
Things get difficult if there is only an Integrated graphics present, but thankfully the Notebook 9 Pro has AMD’s Radeon 540 graphics present in it, that too of 2 GB capacity.
Thus you can utilize all of the memory available of the 16 GB to do editing tasks, light gaming, and more multitasking.
The CPU has a base speed of 1.8 GHz and an 8 MB cache, so it is quite fast, and with turbo-boosting, you will find it more lively.
Gaming isn’t one of the things that the device is meant for, but you can try playing some moderately demanding games at medium settings at most.
If you are expecting it to run games as any other laptop would at this price, you’d be disappointed.
But a poor gaming side doesn’t stain its overall performance. Photographers and editors would find it very smooth to work on.
The glossy FHD panel allows you to work outside, and even comfortably with high peak brightness.
The color accuracy is decent as well, and since it would run editing software, anything below heavy editing would be possible.
Watching videos and movies is very entertaining and you would be able to notice the slightest details, owing to the clarity of the display.
But we wouldn’t suggest you trying to edit 4K on it since the GPU is not all that appealing.
The stylus comes to use while taking notes, creating animations, doodles and so on.
It also allows you many other functions that make it easier to operate the laptop.
Windows 10 Home OS has been installed in it already so that you can work on a user-friendly interface.
Storage and RAM
The storage present is 256 GB in an SSD drive. You cannot add another internal drive and external ones are the only solution when you run out of storage, which you eventually will.
It’s weird how it offers enough power for tasks like editing, but not enough storage.
The RAM present is of 16 GB at 2133 MHz, which again isn’t much upgradable.
But given the other specs, you wouldn’t need any more memory and what you have already should be enough for the tasks the laptop can run.
Ports and Connectivity
There is a USB Type-C port present on the left side, and an HDMI output other than the headphone jack.
The right side provides you two USB 3.0 ports along with an SD card reader.
The battery life will largely depend on how you use the device, and whether or not you game on it.
With the average workload, you would get about 7 hours of backup from the 3530 mAh Li-ion battery, which isn’t the best when you consider some other alternatives.
But simpler tasks or watching movies give you more, and you can thus easily watch 3 movies on a single charge, depending on their runtime, and still have some battery left.
The device does support Type-C charging through the USB Type-C port present on it.
There is a stylus present, the ‘S’ pen that doesn’t require a battery or connectivity to function.
It is quite responsive and smooth and comes very handy while editing, drawing, or using the laptop for every other purpose.
The keyboard is good too with large arrows, backlight and provides a comfortable typing experience.
The touchpad is large and supports multiple 2 or 3 finger gestures.
The webcam at the top of the screen supports facial recognition, and there is also a fingerprint sensor present.
The speakers on the device face downward and are at the base, and being average, the bass quality on them is not very good.
A standard warranty has been provided by Samsung.

What Do Users Think about Notebook 9 Pro?
The Notebook 9 Pro has been bought by a considerable number of buyers since its release.
Even, some users have bought the device very recently since the features it offers are decent.
They have found using it very convenient due to the touch screen, and the built-in stylus has made it more comfortable.
Editing pictures and videos, drawing and things like that was very easy on this.
The performance is another aspect which has been able to impress them. Check out Notebook 9 Pro Manual.
There are mixed impressions regarding the battery life as some of them think that what it offers is good, while others expected some more runtime out of it.
About the bad sides, the upgradability and the position of the speakers have been pointed out.
The speakers are good, but they are downward facing and due to this the sound isn’t very satisfying and the volume is restricted the majority of the time.
The absence of a Thunderbolt Port was also a bit of a problem since it is of utmost importance for those who need to transfer large amounts of data or connect 4K monitors.
Another problem they faced was the heating of the frame that felt noticeable as soon as the laptop was placed under the moderate workload.
That escalated further when the workload increased, but it didn’t have any effect on performance though.
But the general impressions were good. Given the price tag, there are few better performers at this point that also provide 2-in-1 features.
The laptop being light and portable was especially preferred by students and office workers who have to carry a computer with them.
It served as something that could serve both at home, and at the workplace.
