This improves the quality of images that are brighter and sharper. This technology also allows viewing the images displayed on the screen from wider viewing angles.
The system will also stay cool even if you use it for a long time due to its revolutionary cooling system.
The system comes with two Aero Flow cooling fans. These two Z blade blowers in the system come with as many as 53 blades of 0.35 mm in size.
The dynamic spread vapor chamber inside the system also prevents any heat buildup within the case.
However, it would have been nice if the system had any fan control software along with it to regulate the occasional fan noise while gaming.

Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z Review
Buy for: Better gaming performance, better monitor utility, fast SSD.
Beware of: Simple look and feel, annoying touchpad ring, average display response time.
The Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z comes with a boosted-up graphics card that enables the users to have total control in its performance. It is a compelling and utilitarian machine which is designed for both gaming and professional graphics jobs.
Design and Build
The LED backlit keyboard with the curved keys popping up to the display of the system, everything is designed in this device to perfection for providing the best gaming and computing experience to the users.
The designs and features of the laptop offers comfort in using and precision in the jobs done by the users.
This silver colored system comes with a 15.6 Full HD LED, anti-glare display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and 1080p resolution to provide a better viewing pleasure.
Built from aluminum metal, the system weighs 5.29 pounds, which is heavy, no doubt. However, this is due to the components and useful features included in the system design.
The ultra-slim design and build of the system also promises a refresh rate of 120 HZ with the NVIDIA G-Sync. This will lift up the gaming experience making it more realistic and faster.
All you have to do is simply pair your system with Odyssey HMD that features Windows Mixed Reality. You will then be taken to the world of an exhilarating, more immersive and unreal experience.
The gameplay capture and recording button included in its high-end keyboard will allow you to switch between different modes, such as beast mode and silent mode, while playing a game.
The touchpad and keyboard are placed at the front of the housing, a bit unusual by its standards. The grey keyboard comes with red LED backlit semi-translucent keys. This gives the crater shaped keycaps a more interesting and appealing look.
There are lots of shortcut keys on the right side of the keyboard just above the touchpad. These are specially designed and incorporated for gaming.
One button takes the screenshot, another records a video clip, the third quietens the fans when you switch to silent mode and the fourth enables the beast mode.
The design and placement of the touchpad is a bit awkward as is the shape of it. It is also a bit finicky at times. Check out Notebook Odyssey Manual.
However, it is good enough to use for performing small and simple tasks on the system, but if you want to use it for more complicated jobs, you are advised to use a dedicated mouse.
The performance of the system is ‘cool,’ in both senses. The system will not heat up easily, though the keys do get a bit warmer while playing games, and it will allow easy operation and gameplay.
The Intel Core i7 8750H processor included in the design of this machine will operate at quite a high speed of 2.2 GHz, which you can Turbo Boost up to 4.10 GHz to make the best use of its 9 MB cache.
The six cores of the processor will work at the highest possible level to ensure that the level of performance of the system is never found to be lagging or lacking.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card will provide you with enough power to control the system and dominate. It will deliver images and graphics at a much faster frame rate per second even for those HD contents.
This dedicated graphics card of this reliable machine comes with features and capabilities like 6 GB GDDR5 and a RAM size of 0.01 GB, which will provide you with enough and better opportunities to edit photos and videos as well as play games more confidently, all at once.
It will also ensure a safer, faster and more reliable operation and handling of the machine when you use it for your daily computing jobs or for playing games.
Adding to the performance level of this system along with the processor, graphics and Windows operating system is the PCIe NVMe SSD storage and the DDR4 RAM that operates at a speed of 2400 MHz, which is reasonably high.
With all your work and play on the laptop, it will not heat up easily due to the Aero Flow Cooling System.
There are two internal fans in the system that will dissipate and expel the heat generated by the CPU and GPU easily and most effectively.
The cooling system will actually suck in the air from the top of the housing and push it from over the processor and GPU.
It will then blow it out from inside the casing through the vents at the back and right side of the machine.
However, if you want to work on it in peace, you can keep these fans quiet by switching over to silent mode and increase your performance and productivity level.
RAM & Storage
The 16 GB DDR4 RAM in the system is good enough to offer you with more speed while computing or playing games.
It is fast and capable enough to make this system compete with most of its rivals in this category in terms of performance.
On the other hand, the 256 GB NVMe PCle SSD will provide you with more storage space and a better accessibility of the stored files and folders. This ATA 4 hard drive interface is ultra-fast.
Ports & Connectivity
There are enough ports in the system that will allow you to connect different devices externally.
There are two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one HDMI connector slot, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a RJ 45 LAN connectivity along with a DC power in slot.
There is also one USB Type C port that has a transfer rate of 5 Gigabytes per second and allows you to connect a 4K display output using an optional adapter as well as for charging.
The system will also allow a Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity and a wi-fi connection of 802.11 ac standard as well. It will offer a stable and strong connection with its 2×2 architecture and wireless LAN antenna.
The laptop is powered by a 54-watt-hour lithium ion battery that can be charged through a 180-watt AC adapter.
Though this is not a powerhouse as compared to the modern laptops, it will provide enough power to support the requirements of the CPU and GPU.
The life of the battery is not very long in comparison to that of other laptops of similar category and specs because the screen consumes a major part of it. However, you will not get anything less than two hours of battery life consistently on an average.
You can extend the battery life by an hour with some tweaks made in the brightness of the screen as well as the performance of the hardware components by performing simple tasks on this laptop.
Though there are several tests conducted on its battery life, the Tech radar movie test found that the battery of the system however lasted for 3 hours and 4 minutes only, maximum.
The laptop comes with a good enough audio system and a camera to provide fair enough multimedia support.
There are two stereo speakers of 1.5 watts each that are designed with Sound Alive technology. There is also an internal digital microphone that helps in easier communication and interaction.
The two speakers of the system are also located awkwardly at the bottom of the housing. It would have been better if it was placed on the top of the keyboard.
There is also a 720p HD webcam built in the system to allow you to video chat, shoot and capture videos, take quick pictures of profiles, and create video content to post on social channels and blogs.
As for the safety and security aspect of the device, there is a TPM security slot that makes this system reliable enough to get a certification from Energy Star. The system also comes with a one-year warranty from the manufacturer.
You will also find a lot of software and apps included in the system so much so that you may not even open all of them to use.
If you own a Samsung phone, you will be familiar with these apps such as Samsung Gallery, Message, Recovery, Security, Settings, Update, wi-fi Transfer, wi-fi Camera, Link Sharing and more.
Odyssey Control is another useful feature that will allow you to view the stats of the system and make adjustments in the settings.
You can use it to change the display mode, enable the Windows Key, switch between gaming modes and view your saved gaming videos and screenshots.

What Do Users Think about Notebook Odyssey Z?
Some users talked only about the performance of the laptop. They said that it is an excellent device to perform tasks like word processing, checking emails, and web browsing.
It is speedy and powerful enough to support and help them accomplish more complex computing tasks like mid-range gaming and video editing, and video conferencing.
Even demanding video games played on this machine showed quick response and good graphics.
As for the apps included in the devices, users said that all of it started up pretty quickly.
The performing speed of the device was good enough for composing documents, converting videos, working on data and spreadsheets, manipulating image filters, calculating simulations, rendering models and other productivity tasks.
Other users talked about its portability and battery life, both of which did not impress them very much. A bit heavy, it may not be an ideal laptop to travel with it over a long distance.
The battery life too, they felt, was not enough to support a full day’s work needing them to charge the system more often, much unlike other similar devices.
The ergonomic design of the keyboard attracted a large number of users. The large, crater shaped, red LED backlit keys added to the appeal of the device.
Spaced properly with good enough key travel and feedback, they felt it is easy to type on this keyboard, even in darker settings. Check out Notebook Odyssey Manual.
The touchpad of the device is uncomfortable and pretty small, said others. This provided little room for gestures. They also said that though the power button is accessible, the labeling is poor making it hard to read or figure out when the system is off.
Users did not have much to complain about the display though. It has good resolution, anti-glare features, a wider viewing angle, and produces a small array of colors.
They were also impressed about the less power consumption by the solid-state drive that accesses data more speedily in comparison to any other traditional hard-disk drives.
The connectivity options of the system also impressed a few users. They were happy that the careful selection and incorporation of the ports in the system allows them to connect several external devices of their choice.
Few users however spoke about the downsides of the system. They did not like the fact that the system does not have any optical drive and therefore they needed to buy an external drive for it.
There is also no memory-card reader which made it difficult for them to transfer photos directly to the laptop from a digital camera.
Other Expert Views

Though it is a bit overpriced, they feel that the look and feel of it is quite cheap. However, they had very little to say against the performance and functionality of this machine.
NotebookCheck however said that this device is truly a good machine when it comes to performance and user experience. On one hand, the CPU and GPU of the device seems to perform exceptionally well with no throttling and on the other hand, the operating temperature is quite low, though the keys tend to get warmer.
The ability of the system to maintain a high Turbo Boost is what impressed IGN. Their verdict for this system is that it is a novelty laptop with an unusual design, performs well, and is just right for a Samsung fan. However, they said that it will be a far better option to choose a more traditional laptop for the same price.
