The fairly large hard drive is good enough to store a lot of data. This is also a highly responsive laptop which is much better than the older ones.

The hard drive enables you to store a lot of data but you should be aware of the fact that it is prone to failures. You will therefore need to backup often.

The sleek, compact, and pretty design and precise engineering make this a lightweight system, weighing just about 4 pounds.

The build of the system allows an easy and faster setup, though it may vary on the number of devices you want to use with it. Check out best laptop brands.

The materials used to build this system is a combination of plastic and metal. However, a metal jacket all around would have been more preferable. The hinges are also built to be sturdy.

The cooling system is built to operate quietly and does not allow the system to become too hot easily, adding more to its reliable performance.

However, the cover of the system could have been built better because it fails to open 180 degrees. This is not ideal for a touchscreen display because it will be difficult to draw on it.

Performance

The computer works just fine for basic purposes including shooting a video. This is basically a laptop to use for business and by students.

The laptop comes with an 8th generation Intel Quad-Core i5-8250U processor with 8 threads that processes instructions fast enough.

The integrated graphics card performs quite well with its 2 MB RAM size. You will be able to play some basic games on this computer as well.

The Windows 10 operating system installed in this device is good enough to support basic tasks such as writing texts and watching videos.

You can use this device with very little difficulty and the OS will work well with Adobe, MS Office and Outlook.

The good thing about the system is that you will get a 15.6-inch IPS touchscreen that will produce Full HD pictures at 1920 x 1080 resolution but you can also get a UHD display option.

Whichever you choose, it will not affect the level of its performance. You will have no complaints about its performance provided you stick to the basics.

The system is a good performer for all but for the staunch gamers.

RAM & Storage

You will get an 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM that will allow you to do the basic computing jobs easily, quickly and comfortably.

This is primarily due to the fact that the memory operates at a speed of 2400 MHz, which is quite good for doing all basic computing jobs.

The system comes with quite a lot of storage in its 1TB hard disk drive that comes with Serial AT Attachment or SATA interface.

The hard drive rotational speed of 5400 rpm helps in its more-than-average performance. However, it is possible to change the hard disk drive to SSD but you may find it very difficult to open the bottom.

What Do Users Think about HP Pavilion 15T?

Most of the users consider this device to be a good business laptop, if not one of the best, considering its price and power-packed features.

They are very happy with this laptop because, with the 8th generation processor, it is far better than most of the laptops in different categories.

Some users consider this to be a better deal because they think that there may be quite a few other laptops with such specs of different manufacturers and offered at similar price range but they seldom have a touchscreen like this.

Few users found it to be a very good laptop to possess to do basic stuff like writing, watch Netflix, do some school stuff, check their Facebook account or Skype, run other apps and more.

It is definitely worth the money, for some users, for the specs and configuration. They got their value and what they needed from a laptop, though primarily it involves document storage and other business purposes.

It operates fast is what others said. They said that it also has a nice footprint, is light in weight and comes with lots of useful features. It may not be the most awesome computer but they still love it.

On the other side, there are a few users who found that the system comes with a horrible webcam. Check out HP Pavilion 15T Manual.

It captures poor quality images and videos to the extent that they believed it to be defective. However, they found that the keyboard was fine and so is the touchscreen.

Few said that the battery life is good though they regretted that the system does not come with a CD player.

Others said the battery life is not good enough as they have to keep the system plugged in to watch videos and avoid freezing and lag, both of which reduced the video quality and experience.

They also opined against the touchpad and found it horrible.

Our Testing & Analysis Report

The display of the laptop, according to our color accuracy test, covers about 70% of the sRGB color gamut, which is pretty low compared to other displays within the same range.

When we tested the brightness, it also was pretty low, hardly reaching 200 nits. However, the screen responded to our touches quite impressively.

While testing the CPU, we used Cinebench benchmarks but showed some signs of throttling for multi-threaded performance.

However, its single-threaded performance is pretty satisfactory. The results were found to be pretty similar to our Geekbench benchmark test.

As for the integrated GPU of the system, based on the 3D Mark benchmark results, we found that it was normal and nothing better than any regular laptop with an integrated GPU.

When we conducted the battery rundown test, we found that it lasted not more than 5 hours, which allowed us just enough time to complete the basic computing tasks we performed.
